In September 2025, the JUSTNature local team organised two Bioblitz in Leuven. Together with enthusiastic 5th and 6th grade pupils from local primary school 'De Appeltuin' and a professor from KU Leuven, the team explored the green spaces along the pilot site on Constantin Meunierstraat.
The children were given ID charts and used them together with the ObsIdentify app to search for and identify all sorts of tiny creatures: small insects and other animals. They were amazed by the variety that was found!
It was a fun and educational experience that showed one thing clearly: if you look closely, there’s so much life to discover, even right in the heart of the city.
