On the second workshop, we welcomed 74 visitors from the "Nieuw Kwartier" neighborhood. From 5 to 9 p.m., there were information stands and a participatory area where people could exchange their views on the Constantin Meunierstraat. Visitors could share their opinions about the street's current and future situation over aerial images of the street on large maps at the participation area, inspired by postcards with NBS solutions.
City personnel and aldermen were present to exchange with citizens, and a garden ranger and employees of the city's sustainability department provided information about the subsidies that citizens can apply for when they begin climate adaptation actions in their own properties, such as green roofs and façade greenery, as well as advice on climate-friendly and ecological gardening. It was a nice neighbourhood gathering where residents of "Nieuw Kwartier" could share their thoughts on the future of the Constantin Meunierstraat and learn more about the project. Participants could talk, drink, and eat delicious soup from Bar Stan. We will co-design the temporary installation in the street at the next workshop, scheduled for the end of April.
We eagerly await the next collaboration!
