In late November 2024, the cities of Merano and Bolzano were both awarded with the Klimagemeinde
Gold Award! The international European Energy Award Gold is given annually to municipalities that show a consistent commitment towards the highest level of climate protection, energy efficiency, and renewable energies. We are proud to know the work and results of the JUSTNature project are part of Merano and Bolzano's efforts towards the sustainable development of their territories!
This time, 30 public administrations from seven countries won the recognition, and the award ceremony took place in Bolzano. The event's supporting programme included a tour to Merano and a presentation of the JUSTNature project by our colleagues Andrea Balestrini and Anni Schwarz. They addressed the European Energy Award delegation and representatives of other European award-winning cities.
