As part of JUSTNature's Twinning Cities programme, during Autumn 2025, Szombathely welcomed guests from Sisak, Croatia, for a two-day study visit filled with knowledge sharing, inspiration, and exploration.
The visit focused on showcasing how green, nature-based developments are being implemented across Szombathely. Participants had the opportunity to see the recently completed projects at the Dési Huber István Primary School’s courtyard, the newly opened Százhold Park, and the popular Kalandváros playground - all demonstrating how nature-based solutions are making the city more livable and resilient.
The exchange provided a valuable opportunity to share experiences, discuss lessons learned, and strengthen the partnership between the two cities. It was an inspiring and joyful visit, and we look forward to welcoming Sisak again soon.
