New podcast episode with 'What's That Green?'

Szombathely 24 October 2025
The third episode of our podcast series in partnership with WTG? featuring the Szombathely CiPeL.

We are happy to release the third episode of our podcast series with What's That Green?, the creative, community-driven platform focused on nature-based solutions in cities.

This episode takes us to Szombathely, guided by Ágnes Győrffy, local project coordinator and representative of Szombathely's Mayor Office, and Viktor Bukovszki, project partner and researcher at ABUD. Together, they reflect on the journey of creating two green pilot sites through our project. Listen to the episode for an honest, practical, and inspiring look at greening cities with people, not just for them!

During the episode, Ágnes and Viktor share how they built trust with the local community (for whom participation was still a new concept), and what worked well in the co-creation workshops they've been carrying out with both kids and adults. They also reflect on the city's political shift, created space to prioritize climate and sustainability issues, and on the importance of institutional collaboration along the way.

“Nature-based solutions mean different things to different people. For city managers, it might be about heat reduction. For citizens, it might be about pride, beauty, and belonging. We have to value all of it equally.”

Dive into our colleagues' reflections in this inspiring episode!
