On October 25, Szombathely inaugurated Százhold Park, an eco-friendly green space designed to enhance urban quality of life and sustainability. Located along the Gyöngyös River, the park is one of the CiPeL's chosen intervention sites. It features walkways, seating areas, fitness stations, natural play equipment, and a small stage for events.
A highlight of the opening day was the planting of a Miyawaki mini-forest, which will foster local biodiversity and contribute to climate resilience. On the opening ceremony, which was also attended by the city consortium partner ABUD, leaders emphasized the park’s role as a long-term investment in Szombathely’s sustainable future, setting a standard for other cities aiming to integrate nature into urban life.
We're proud of the work we carried out!
